Drawn arc stud welding
Functional description In this welding process, a welding rectifier serves as the energy source and provides a continuous welding current that can be adjusted with respect to time and intensity of current. The welding time amounts to 0.1 - 2.0 secs. Ceramic ferrules are usually used as welding aids.
Range of application Owing to the increased penetration depth from approx. 1-3 mm, this method is mainly used for workpieces with a minimum thickness of 2 mm. This welding method generates high-quality welded joints and is especially suitable when high demands relevant to safety regulations are made on the welding quality. The application of this welding method has proved very successful e.g. in structural steel engineering, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding engineering, building construction and civil engineering, power plant and nuclear power plant construction, boiler construction, apparatus engineering, insulating engineering, reinforced concrete construction etc.
Possible applications:
*Only for units with automatic kit ________________________________________________________________ Subject to technical changes.
